Tag, I'm It.
okay... so, snarky, cynical me doesn't really want to participate in playing tag... but the HR Bartender, Sharlyn Lauby doesn't strike me as an idiot, or crazy. in fact, i think my first exposure to her was when i had posted something over at Fistful of Talent about HR not being sexy and SHRM being an evil contributor to our decline... her response? basically, she said to stop complaining and do something about it. she was more diplomatic in how she said it though, of course. i found that alone to be quite classy. i also like her blog and think it's one to watch. so... because she's not a wench, i'll play along nicely.
here are my seven facts: my first job was at mcdonald's. i progressed from cashier, to drive thru, to birthday party queen in a matter of... five weeks. in the latter gig, i hosted kiddy b-day parties in the playland of our location. now that, was fun. kind of.
so there you have it. here are my seven i'm tagging, although if you choose not to continue it, i'll forgive you. but come on! i did it! snarky me? you can do it too.
suann song - simplesong
william uranga - talent alchemy
jennifer mcclure - cincy recruiter
mark stelzner - inflexion advisors
james walker - pr prescriptions
amybeth hale- research goddess
gordon lokenberg - w3 recruitment

Thanks for playing along (from one registered Republican to another.)

Back in 1986, while still living in Germany, my first teen-job was as a grocery bagger. I actually thought I was a pretty good one too. At the Military Post, they only used paper bags, not plastic. Sounds weird, but I saw the paper bag as more than simply a container for food. Admittedly, I showed a bit of quirkiness since I was known for meticulously placing items in the bag so they looked good. Was it obsessive-compulsive or "artistic" - who knows? :-)
Loved your 7-facts, next time we connect you'll have to share more!
